I strongly support your efforts to preserve John Coltrane's home, a place rich with historical significance. The necessity of preserving places is fundamentally one of respect; for we wish to honor Coltrane's contributions to our culture by allowing for his home to stand, allowing for those who wish to understand the context behind some of the most technically and aesthetically rich music ever a chance to see the place of its origin. Keep up the good work.

Hello...
John Coltrane is the single most influential artist/musician that has had a profound impact on my life and playing. Although I am a pianist, what John has accomplished with his original voice has transcended the boundaries of instruments. It is unmistakable, most sincere and the absolute truth. I am dedicated to helping spread the beauty and the importance of A Love Supreme to all my students at USC.
Respectfully, Alan Pasqua California

Please save John Coltrane's House.
It is a monument to modern music and a treasure to the Jazz Community.
What a wonderful thing it's been to learn that the place where "A Love Supreme" was composed has the potential to be saved and preserved.
Please consider turning it into a museum and cultural center and not destroying it, like so may other places in this country that have fallen by the wayside.
Sincerely, Jason Langley.

Hello,
It has come to my attention that an historical house, once belonging to John Coltrane, is in jeopardy. This is a distressing situation that I hope will be rectified swiftly. For posterity, it should be transformed into a museum or something similar to be enjoyed by the public--and given 'landmark status.'
I would like to be updated on the situation as the proceedings ensue.
Thank you for your time. If you need any further info, please contact me at this email address.

Chris Marshak here.....I'm a professional drummer, father and earlier childhood music specialist. I don't know if you are a jazz fan or not.....Please do the right thing and preserve this Long Island landmark. We have enough "development" in Long Island already.
thanks

Hello,
My name is Marla Cantor and I am a resident of Dix Hills. I am the daughter of two professional jazz musicians and grew up listening to the incredible tenor sax of John Coltrane. (My mom, L'Ana Hyams, played tenor sax and had her own "all-man" band in the 40's). I was totally amazed to learn that John Coltrane lived the last few years of his life right here in my town and am so excited to learn of your efforts to preserve his home. I would like to help you in any way I can. My first thought on hearing of your efforts, was Carlos Santana. I know that he himself is a John Coltrane fan and has also collaborated on an album with Coltrane's widow, Alice. In the meantime, what can I do to help you? I appauld your efforts and hope that I can be of help in supporting this great project!
