As a member of the music community and as a fan of the greatest indigenous American artform, jazz, I urge you to preserve the Coltrane home for generations to follow. Such high art was created on these premesis that it should be turned into a museum and archive out of respect.
Sincerely, Ivan Bodley New York City

I wish I could step up to the plate and by the property, but this I cannot do. I can say that it is absolutely important that the legacy of John Coltrane, in the form of a home where he lived with his family and composed his music should be protected. Mr. Coltrane's music is an integral part of jazz, one of the true American music forms. We need to honor and preserve the memory and history of this great man.

Though I am not a jazz musician, a jazz historian or even a self-proclaimed jazz guru, I think it would be a shame to let this piece of America's history be demolished. John Coltrane's music and spirithave enlightened many a music fan, and he is arguably the most influential jazz musician in American history.
We should preserve his property as a tribute to an unforgettable mastermind, an enduring soul, and a prime example of someone who searched deep within to find true happiness. He has shared his music with all of us, and will continue to do so for many years to come. His home should be placed in the hands of a community that will conserve this historic landmark for future generations, so that they can know and understand the profound manifestation of love that is John Coltrane's music.
Best of luck,

I write to you on the behalf of saving the Coltrane Home. I believe that the home should be saved for future generations to come. So that they can learn about one of the greatest masters of jazz. Musicians of this caliber do not come around too often and we must keep them as well as their music alive through efforts such as this one.
Please do all you can to preserve this home.
Thank you,
G.L.
