Hi, I read bout your great job in saving the Coltrane house.
This deserves wider credit and is an example for others (country's, governments,...) since everywhere houses and monuments are lesser protected .... (as is in Belgium the case as well)
Of course the house where coltrane lived and created so many of his masterworks needs a good protection and conservation!!
Go on with your noble work!!
Sincerely yours A. VAN LOOY Belgium

To Whom It May Concern I wish to register my support for the effort to save the home of John Coltrane. The home of an individual of such unique and singular vision, someone whose musical expression is a great and important artistic creation, deserves conservation to protect his legacy for future generations.
Kind Regards Nicholas Boyakovsky Sydney, Australia

I'm writing from Copenhagen, Denmark, to support the preserving of John Coltrane's home.
I'm a jazz musician, 26 years old, and the music of John Coltrane has had a very important place in my developing - and I know I speak for the most of my fellow musicians here in Copenhagen. There is no doubt that John Coltrane has been one of the strongest voices in jazz, well, in all music. His music is still so essential, the presence of it so strong, that he belongs in a distinguished company of eternal artists such as J.S. Bach, Mozart, Van Gogh, Picasso, Shakespeare, Akiri Kurosawa, Duke Ellington. When I learned that his house still remains, I was very happy, but to me it's a cultural disgrace that a place with such a symbolic importance and with the few materialistic memories of Coltrane left on earth, can be torn away like that. I think any country should be proud of having "a Coltrane" and keep his memory alive, just as his music is still so vital. When I go to New York this summer, I will come and visit Dix Hills with a strong hope that this very special little house still remains.
Yours Sincerely,
Soren Kjaergaard

I am so happy to see that so many people are supporting your effort to save the John Coltrane home.
My concern is that we tend to tear down too much of the past and we will end by not leaving a heritage to our chidren and future generations. Something that is very much appreciated here in Europe.
I convey, wholeheartedly, my desire to see the home preserved. What a great addition it would make to other places of history on Long Island. We need more!
Long Island is a beautiful place with many places of interest to visit. Please add this home to the list. It would certainly add to the importance of the community.
Best wishes, Fran Lorenzoni Lucca, Italy
